After throwing the Forest Fettre against the tree you now have a chance to cross the stream. You take a run and jump as far as you can, you are almost to the other side–
You hit an invisible brick wall and splash into the cold water. You come back up sputtering to read the now visible sign on the near bank of the stream:
No Jumping Zone. No crossing the stream by means of jumping, leaping, or flying.
It looks like you will have to wade across. You are almost to the other side when the same invisible wall is found. You feel around and find an entrance through the wall—
You feel a warm hand with long fingers grab your neck and pull you backwards. You now stare into the face of the lady in white you saw in the stream earlier. The scent of rain paralyzes you as the lady lovingly holds your head between her hands.
“Did you think you could just shake me off and run away?” asks the lady in white. You are clueless as to what she means.
“My heart cannot be shattered so easily, sugar-plumkins,” she says and kisses you on the mouth. You feel something leave your body and things begin to go black. Immediately you realize that the Forest Fettre got to you after all and that hiker stew is inevitable.
