Find the Burning Book

           Ooh, Ow, it’s Hot!

The Book isn’t likely burned yet, go get it!”

           “What?” asks the biker.

“You’re grieving over a burning book,” you reply. “Go see if it’s still ok. Then you won’t have to shoot anybody.”

The gunman/ biker realizes he is making a mistake to be here threatening to shoot a strange hiker while there is still time to save the Book he loves. Yet the gun does not go down.

“You’re coming with me!” he says.

The biker and you return to the burning hut. Just within the threshold of the doorway lay Do Not Open: the flames have not reached it yet. The Marb is nowhere to be found.

The biker makes you retrieve the Book despite the fire and smoke all around. After moving the Book a few meters away from the fire, the biker puts away the gun and breathes a sigh of relief.

“Now give me the Book,” says the biker.

He grabs Do Not Open out of your hands, lays it on the ground, and opens it. You half expect him to be sucked into the Book but instead a light shoots out of the page from chapter three. The light becomes a beautiful woman in a blue dress. You would normally be impressed with such beauty. Your gut tells you she’s a maneater, literally. The biker may not survive her, but she’ll be back for more victims.

“Oh, there you are,” says the woman.

“I’m here for you, baby!” replies the biker.

“I’m sure,” she says; her words drip with sarcasm but the biker does not get it; she makes sure he doesn’t. “Are you coming with me?”
   The biker, drooling, nods yes.
“There is much work to be done before I can rule once again.”
        “I’ll do whatever you want!”
“You bring the Book, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT OPEN IT, and follow me. We still have more minions to release before it’s over.”

The lady smiles to lure him on and gracefully runs toward the bridge leading out of the Forest. The biker gets on his bike and follows, like a lamb to the slaughter, with Do Not Open in his backpack.

As the lady crosses the bridge a creature from beneath the it, seemingly made from the same rotting material, reaches out for her. You realize that it is the other biker; he’s still wearing a bicycle helmet and jacket. If the Marb realizes that another villainous creature has been released to rival him, things could get ugly for the Park.

You have a bad feeling about this. Should you follow?

**This is where trails are mixed and paths are weaved, Now is the place where a Choice is conceived. **

*Follow the biker and Lady to her old lair?

*Leave them alone

*Stop them from leaving while you can
