At the Top of the Bridge

Picking Up the Left Overs

“You had best not follow!” warns the masked, cloaked figure, even as the child in his arms screams for help.

You wander to the top of the bridge that the strange cloaked figure was standing on moments before. Whether or not it was a mistake not to pursue him is a mystery.
You examine the top of the bridge and realize that in a large brick at the center is missing a piece: there are two small round grooves. You then realize that you should have pursued the Messenger after all.
Yet before you consider going after the kidnapper you hear a bell somewhere among the trees. Before you know what’s going on something sharp pricts your neck. You look up in the trees; a small white cat in a labcoat with a blowgun watches you before leaping to the ground even as the darkess takes you.

You have fallen victim to the mad scientist of the Park. Chances are, you will wake to cravings of field mice and raw fish. But this does not have to be the end. Go back and try again.
