Shaving with Marshmallow, Interlude

Every morning I shave with marshmallow fluff. Sure I can buy it in jars at the store, but I take great pride in boiling the sugar syrup myself, and carefully pouring the 240 degree, piping hot syrup into a mixer full of beaten egg whites, churning it into frothiness to make a foaming, white, hot beautiful mess of marshmallow frosting.

quote from Rod Hypstrom, cane sugar activist, in a speech on March 15, 2016 at the “Sugar is not a Boogar” rally, Austin, TX, explaining variations, uses and remedies of refined sugar.
